So we finally broke down and decided it was okay to leave Alexis for a weekend. Matt and I took a mini trip to Vegas for 3 days. Oh boy did we miss Alexis!! We had a wonderful time spending time together. We did LOTS of walking up and down the strip. Did lots of window shopping (things in Vegas are expensive!). It was nice to get away, but we were coutning down the hours to see Alexis. We got in late Sunday night so we thought we wouldn't see Alexis until she woke up Monday morning, but my mom surprised us and brought her to the airport to pick us up. And it brought tears to our eyes. It was a great sight to see! To tell you the truth we wont be going on a couples trip for a LONG time again. Its too hard leaving her, even though she had a WONDERFUL time with Grandma and Grandpa.
