Family Trip

Matt and I decided to take Alexis on one last family trip of 3 before her baby sister arrives. We took a long weekend trip to Phoenix. We left on Thursday and headed to Arizona. We drove the 7 hours and Alexis did AWESOME!! When we got to the hotel Alexis was super excited to see what the pool looked like. Once she checked the place out we headed to our room because we were exhausted!!! On Friday we had a lazy morning at the hotel so Matt headed into work for a couple hours. Matt travels to Phoenix often for work so he knows the city well. Once Alexis and I were ready Matt came back to the hotel to pick us up for lunch. Matt loves going to a place called Fore Fathers, which serves amazing Philly Cheesesteaks. Wow were they delicious!! After lunch we noticed across the street was an Ikea. Matt and I had never been in one so we had to check it out. WOW!!! It took us 2 hours just to walk around the store! Matt is very thankful we don't have an Ikea in ABQ because he knows I would be living there all the time!!! It was such a fun store. If you are ever by an Ikea you have to stop by!! After our long shopping trip to Ikea we asked Alexis what she wanted to do next and what does she say??? "Mommy I want to go to Babies R Us and buy a baby stroller." We have been looking at double strollers for a while and Alexis loves sitting in them and trying them out. So where did we go... Babies r Us. Yes we have one in ABQ but this trip was all about Alexis so we went stroller shopping. Of course we didn't buy one, but Alexis really wanted to buy a Big Sis shirt and an outfit for her baby sister. So she walked around the clothing area and picked them out. She was to cute!! She would hold up little dresses and say "These are pretty Mommy". I love this girl!!! After shopping we headed back to the hotel to rest a bit and get ready for dinner. Matt and I planned to take Alexis to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. At first Alexis wasn't sure about the place because of all the noise, but eventually she got into it. What a fun dinner!! Saturday morning we woke up early and headed to the Phoenix zoo. It is in the top 5 zoos in the nation and I can see why AMAZING!! We were there for 5 hours and got through most of the zoo, but could have spent 2 days there. After the zoo we headed back to the hotel for a rest and swimming time. Alexis was super excited to get into the pool. After fun at the pool we headed up to the room to get ready for dinner at Matt's co workers house. Matt's co worker Keven and his wife invited us over for dinner. We had a wonderful time and they were so sweet to Alexis. On Sunday we decided before we headed out of town we would take Alexis to the Children's Museum. It was SOOO much fun!! It is 3 stories tall with so much to do!! We spent 3 hours there and Alexis was on the go the entire time. Before we headed out of town I told Matt I had to have some In and Out Burger. It was SOO yummy!! I really wish we had one here in ABQ. Well that was our trip in a nutshell. I am so thankful we were able to have this time with Alexis before things change in the Haynes home. Now its time to get ready for Baby Kaylee!

Going through the car wash.

Her car is almost nice and clean.

Made it through the car wash. Look at clean she is.

I guess the car wash didn't do a good job because she is having to go through again.

Now we are off to the grocery store. Alexis was so excited to see some products on the self from her Papa's Alberston's.

She bought some parmesan cheese from Alberston's. She knows the good stores to shop at.

She is still shopping.

Time to check out. Look Mommy is put to work. Alexis though it was funny for Mommy to check her out.

Pizza time!!! Daddy is hard at work. Alexis is his boss telling him what to do.

Alexis working in her kitching. She had a blast cooking Mommy and Daddy lunch.

Alexis cooking some pizza. I guess Daddy got fired from his job because she took over for him.

We are enjoying the yummy pizza Alexis made. Look at all those toppings!!

Alexis has had many jobs today!! She now has moved on to scooping ice cream.

The pencil car was fun to sit in.

Alexis and Daddy having fun in the maze.

This was a 3 story fun maze to go through. You have to crawl in various places so it was not the best for pregnant Mommy, but Alexis and Daddy had fun!!
