Wasn't too sure at first and after watching Daddy she jumped right in.

On Sunday we went to the New Mexico State Fair. I have always gone growing up and Matt use to show horses when he was growing up so it is always fun for us to go. After we had Alexis we make sure we go every year because we want her to have the same memories as we do. Grandma and Papa joined in the fun with us! The first thing we did when we arrived was went straight to the McDonald's Farm. Alexis enjoyed taking her basket around and picking a variety of fruits, veggies and eggs. She loved sitting on the big tractor and sorting back her food into their baskets. After we finished the farm Alexis enjoyed a yummy popsicle. After the McDonald's Farm we went to the petting zoo where Alexis fed a cow, baby horse and goats. Her favorite of course was the horse. She couldn't get enough of it! Next, we headed off to watch a cow be milked. Alexis didn't move through the entire demonstration. She LOVED it!! After the cow we headed over to the Big Red Barn where Alexis was able to see a variety of farm animals, her favorite were the baby goats. After the barn we took Alexis to the Horse Pavilion where she could have stayed ALL day. She was screaming with excitement of all the horses galloping around. I have never seen a child so in love with horses before. Well of course Matt loves it because he grow up with a horse so its his dream for Alexis to have her own horse. (We are thinking of starting horseback riding lesson when Alexis turns 3). Finally we were able to move on to something else when I told Alexis we could go see cows and goats. We enjoyed some yummy fair food and Alexis' favorite Slush Puppies. We ended our day at Lego Land where Alexis was able to build a farm with Legos. We had such a wonderful day! We can't wait until next year!
