Alexis had her 1st dentist appointment today. We went to the library last week and checked out books about the dentist and every night at bedtime we read a dentist book to prepare Alexis for the big day. Daddy took off an hour from work to join us for the exciting day. I asked my friends for recommendations and I found a dentist close to us and was very pleased with Great Smiles. Alexis was so excited to see the dentist. She jumped right up in the big chair and opened her mouth to get her teeth cleaned. While she was laying on the chair she was able to watch a movie on the TV above her. The hygienist was very impressed with how well she did. After she cleaned her teeth she took Alexis for some x-rays. Alexis sat right down and smiled for the x ray machine. I couldn't believe how great Alexis did!! After x-rays the Dr. Bowen came and checked Alexis' teeth and got a great report!! No cavities and she has all her baby teeth!! Once the dentist was done checking her out she got a bag full of goodies. We were so proud of Alexis!! She will go back in 6 months for another cleaning and check up.
